M. Robert Burman
Robert, an industry icon, founded the Matworks in 1966 to provide entrance systems in the Baltimore-Washington Metro area. Today, he is responsible for the growth of the company, overall strategy and mentoring. Robert is known as an innovator for developing new flooring materials and pioneering ROI risk management via entrance systems.
Robert (Rip) B. Collins, Jr.
CEO & President
Rip joined the Matworks in 2003 and has elevated the success and profile of the company by expanding the product line and improving the day-to-day operations to benefit customers and employees. In previous roles, Rip was responsible for management, sales, marketing and operations with Nestle Beverage, Campbell Soup, Vlassic Foods and Newview Technologies. Rip holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Renesselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of Harvard Business School.
Mary Anne Vitty
Executive Vice President
Mary Anne Vitty joined The Matworks in 1983. She has held numerous key positions within the Finance, Account Management, Sales and Sales Management divisions. In her present role, Mary Anne oversees the company’s National Retail Accounts and the Consumer Product Division. She is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
John K. Hibbard
Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing
A seasoned sales and marketing executive, John is passionate about providing each client with an unmatched level of service. Since joining The Matworks in March of 2017, he has worked to ensure that members of his team share the same laser-focus on adding value and exceeding expectations while striving for continuous quality improvement in every aspect of every client relationship. Having previously served in senior management positions across a range of industries for more than two decades, John’s versatile background, including business development, sales, marketing, training, budgeting, administration, human resources and operational management, puts a unique level of experience, knowledge, and expertise at our clients’ fingertips.
Jared Agan
President, TEC Services Division
Jared has more than ten years of experience in healthcare operations for top tier hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic region. He has a proven track record of successful management of time sensitive, complex projects. Jared holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Shippensburg University and an MBA in Executive Leadership from Wesley College. Jared currently resides in Pennsylvania with his family.
Ralph Finaldi
Vice President of Marketing
In his more than 25 year marketing and advertising career Ralph has served as an award-winning creative director, brand strategist, design and digital marketing professional. In those roles he has been helping businesses from start-ups to Fortune 500 giants build their brands, launch their products and services, and develop effective marketing and sales strategies, all with one overriding goal: to deliver measurable bottom line results. Naturally curious, creative, insightful and open to every challenge, he is a highly-skilled problem solver, advocate of simplification, and accomplished communicator, presenter and team builder. Here at The Matworks, Ralph brings those qualities to the table each and every day, developing, directing, and executing marketing concepts and communications that provide our clients with real brand and revenue-enhancing value.
Carl Blackburn
Vice President of Product Development
Carl began with The Matworks as the VP of Operations and has moved to Product Development to focus on bringing new and innovative products to our customers. He brings expertise in lean manufacturing, six sigma and continuous improvement, as well as project management for new product development. He has held a variety of positions in manufacturing, engineering, and quality with companies including Honeywell and L3 Communications. Carl is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Dennis Peterson
Director of Project Management
Dennis joined the Matworks in 1993 as the Operations Manager and was initially responsible for managing all warehousing and production functions. As the company grew and diversified, Dennis assumed the management duties for the Installation and Customer Service Departments, bringing a unique approach that combined the best practices from each segment. Since then, Dennis has redirected his years of experience and assumed the leadership role of the Project Management Department. In this role Dennis is able to utilize his technical and product knowledge along with customer-related experience to ensure programs are custom tailored to suit each client’s particular needs.
