Since 1966, our philosophy has remained consistent and simple: we work with national retailers to identify, install and manage the very best flooring solutions. What began as a mat rental and laundering company, Matworks has evolved into an innovative leader in the flooring industry, providing both product and service. Our Comprehensive Model has a proven track record working with national retailers in key areas such as:

Robert Burman founded the Matworks in 1966 while recognizing the frequency of safety issues for consumers where entrance matting was either implemented incorrectly or not used at all. National retailers quickly took notice and by 1976 the Matworks signed their first large, national client who is still a customer today. Throughout the years, Robert’s passion to take care of his customers and reputation for honesty, integrity and service enabled the company to become a leader in providing flooring solutions for the retail industry.
